Our new sports kit has been sponsored by Forterra Building Products Ltd
Exciting news! Our new sports kit arrived last week. From now on, we will use this strip for most of our inter-school sports competitions when we’re playing matches and tournaments against other schools. We would like to thank Forterra Building Products Ltd. for their generous sponsorship. The new kit is really smart and it will be worn for many years in a variety of different sports.
Meet our Sports Leaders!
2016/17 Sports Teams
On Monday 6th February four gymnasts from Class 4 represented the school at a Northamptonshire School Games Year 3 & 4 gymnastics competition. All four girls completed two floor routines and a vault. Sixteen teams took part and the standard of competition was very high. Overall our team finished in third place! Ths is a fantastic achievement and we are really proud of all our gymnasts, one of whom received special recognition, winning both floor routines and the individual gymnast award.

Could we please kindly ask that over the Easter holiday you take the opportunity to check your child’s P.E. kit carefully. We have had several incidences over the past term of children’s kits either missing items, containing items that no longer fit or sometimes children having no kit at all. In some cases children have, regrettably, had to miss P.E. due to lack of appropriate sports clothing. We only ever do this as a last resort as P.E. is a compulsory and integral part of our school curriculum. Even if your child wears a sports t-shirt and/or shoes as part of their school uniform, we ask that they change out of this to participate in the P.E. lesson. This is for health and safety and personal hygiene reasons. We are also unable to allow children to borrow kit from other children (sorry!).
We would recommend that for outdoor games your child’s P.E. kit includes:
- Tracksuit bottoms
- Sturdy, well-fitting trainers
- Spare socks
High cost, ‘professional’ sports kit is not necessary. Shoes and clothing just need to fit well and be appropriate for the activities being carried out.
Thank you for your co-operation,
