Full Re-opening – March 2021

The purpose of this webpage is to provide families with information about how we plan to re-open The Bliss Charity School fully on Monday 8th March 2021.

In the side bar, please find the following documents:

  • Letter from the Headteacher
  • Full Re-opening Information Booklet
  • Full Re-opening Risk Assessment

Whilst the plans outlined in the documents listed above are correct at the time of writing (03/03/21), it is possible that we will need to make changes following further guidance from the Department for Education.

Risk assessment

Our risk assessment for full re-opening adheres to all of the DfE’s requirements published to date (03/03/21) – this has been written in consultation with staff and reviewed by members of the Governing Body.  However, it must be recognised that – whilst this is a very detailed and comprehensive document – our risk assessment is ‘on-going’ and operational changes will made before (and after) opening to all pupils on Monday 8th March 2021 so that it reflects the best possible practice in education settings. It is anticipated that any changes to our risk assessment from now on will affect the finer details of the plan rather than the broad, strategic structure.

Further information

Should further information be required, please refer to the following DfE materials, as these documents provide the framework in which decisions about the re-opening on Monday 8th March 2021 at Bliss have been made:

These documents are being updated on a regular basis and school leaders will continue to respond to amendments and updates as they are provided.  It is also possible that the DfE will issue new guidance in addition to the resources listed above. If this is the case, we will use this guidance to shape our plans too.
