May Half Term Holiday 2020

May Half Term Picture

On this page, you will find a number of activities, challenges and tasks that children could choose to do over the May half-term holiday (23/05/20 – 31/05/20).

May Half-Term Activity Pack:

Our May Half-Term Activity Pack has been compiled by the teachers at Bliss for you to enjoy as a family – please find it in the resources sidebar on this page of the school website.

Unlike our Home Learning Packs, which are year group specific, our May half-term holiday resources are not differentiated by age; there are a range of activities for children of all ages to enjoy – this means that brothers and sisters could work on these tasks together instead of doing separate learning tasks.

The May Half-Term Activity Pack covers a broad range of curriculum areas, from science, geography and history to art, music, ICT and PSHE. There is no need to record any of the work children do from the May Half-Term Activity Pack, although you could do if you would like to. If you would like to chart your achievements, there is a ‘Challenge Diary’ on page 11 of the pack which you could make use of.

Please send us a photo of any of the activities you choose to do via Twitter (@BlissCharitySch).

Any additional resources that accompany the May Half-Term Activity Pack have been uploaded to sidebar on this page of the school website.

As with the Home Learning Packs, there is no obligation or expectation to do any of the activities in the May Half-Term Activity Pack. It has been compiled to give some support over the holiday period should you wish to make use of it.

Virtual Read Aloud:

At Bliss, we hold a ‘Read Aloud’ at the end of every term … and, once again, the school closure was not going to prevent us from doing this! Please click on the videos below to watch adults from our school read a selection of free e-books! By logging onto Sora or Oxford Owl, you can finish the books we have chosen to share with you!
