Easter Holidays 2020

Easter

On this page, you will find a number of activities, challenges and tasks that children could choose to do over the Easter Holidays.

Easter Activity Pack:

Our Easter Activity Pack has been compiled by the teachers at Bliss for you to enjoy as a family – please find it in the resources sidebar on this page of the school website.

Unlike our Home-Learning Packs, which are year group specific, our Easter resources are not differentiated by age; there are a range of activities for children of all ages to enjoy – this means that brothers and sisters could work on these tasks together instead of doing separate learning tasks.

The Easter Activity Pack covers a broad range of different curriculum areas, from art and DT to science, ICT and music!  Moreover, many of these challenges have an Easter or spring theme.  There is no need to record any of the work children do from the Easter Activity Pack, although you could do if you would like to. If you would like to chart your achievements over Easter, there is a ‘Challenge Diary’ on page 11 of the pack which you could make use of.

Please send us a photo of any of the activities you choose to do – you could do this via Twitter (@BlissCharitySch), or direct to your class teacher:

Any additional resources that accompany the Easter Activity Pack have been uploaded to sidebar on this page of the school website.

As with the Home-Learning Packs, there is no obligation or expectation to do any of the activities in the Easter Activity Pack.  It has been compiled to give some support over the holiday period should you wish to make use of it.

Easter Reading Challenge:

As is now traditional over a longer holiday period, there is a reading challenge for children to take part in! Please find a copy of the ‘Easter Reading Challenge’ sheet in the resources sidebar on this page of the school website.

Every time children fill in their reading journal this holiday, they can colour one of the chicks on the ‘Easter Reading Challenge’ sheet. Pupils can write the name of their favourite book from the ones they read on the nest at the bottom.

Once complete, please take a photo of your sheet and email it to .  All the sheets we receive will be entered into a prize draw to win a book voucher! Closing date: 20/04/20. Good luck!

Virtual Read Aloud:

At Bliss, we hold a ‘Read Aloud’ at the end of every term … and we were determined that Term 4 2020 was not going to be any different!  Please click on the videos below to watch adults from our school read a selection of free e-books!

By logging in to Oxford Owl, you can finish – or re-read the books – we have chosen to share with you! If you finish any of the e-books, you could record these on your Easter Reading Challenge sheet.
